CNC wire bending – sheet metal and tube bending

State-of-the-art technology

Foundation of precision manufacturing

Bending

Flexibility in the design of metal products

Bending is one of the key technologies that allows the flexible shaping of metals and offers the opportunity to implement both simple and complex projects. Thanks to our state-of-the-art machinery and multiple years of experience, we are capable of accurately forming wire, sheet metal and tubes, creating elements in a variety of shapes that meet the highest standards of quality and aesthetics.

Wire bending

Wire bending is one of our key services, which enables us to create elements characterised by various shapes and functions. Thanks to the bending technology and Omas and Wafios machines, we ensure precise wire forming, whether for decorative details or functional structural parts.

Sheet bending

Our advanced sheet metal bending technologies enable us to create elements in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. We offer precision edging and side bending, which we spin out with an AMADA machine. We can handle items up to 4 m in length, tailoring them to individual requirements of our customers. Our technology enables us to achieve high precision, which is crucial in industrial and architectural projects.

Tube bending

Tube bending is a technology that allows the creation of complex spatial components. Thanks to our state-of-the-art machinery, including the market-renowned Petrazolli machine, we are capable of delivering products characterised by high strength and aesthetics, tailored to individual requirements of specific projects. These machines guarantee the top quality and repeatability of workmanship, ensuring reliability in the performance of even the most demanding orders.

CNC wire bending

We perform wire bending on CNC-controlled machines. This makes the bending process fast and precise and ensures highly reproducible final products.

Our leading machine is a new WAFIOS bending machine, which we purchased in April 2019; it comes with software for bending parts in 2D and 3D with a chamfer option.

We also have OMAS 106 and OMAS 110 CNC bending machines at our disposal. The aforementioned machines allow the bending of wires with diameters fi3-10 mm.

Our wire bending services are used by companies representing a variety of industries. Depending on the specific industry, we make finished wire products or components; these are thereafter used in the construction of machinery and equipment as well as the manufacture of other products.

What is CNC wire bending?

CNC technology enables the automation of the bending process, ensuring high precision, repeatability and production efficiency. The process starts with the design of the wire model in CAD. The model contains all the requisite information on: shape, dimensions and bending angles. The CAD model is then converted to CNC code containing instructions for the CNC machine as regards movements and bending operations.

The CNC machine deforms the wire according to pre-programmed parameters. Computer control ensures the accuracy and repeatability of each and every deformation. While bending, the machine can make automatic measurements and corrections in order to ensure compliance with the design and the superior quality of the finished product.

Wire bending – advantages of CNC technology

CNC (Computer Numerical Control) wire bending offers multiple advantages, which are decisive for the popularity of this particular processing method in many an industry: from the automotive sector, to arts and crafts.

The main advantages of CNC wire bending are as follows:

  • high precision and repeatability
  • ability to ensure very complex and precise bending,
  • ability to create complex forms and patterns,
  • production speed,
  • improved material management and reduced waste,
  • ability to change production settings easily and quickly,
  • advanced quality control features.

The aforementioned advantages make CNC wire bending one of the most efficient and advantageous processing methods. This method ensures that wire products are made with due precision and high repeatability. At the same time, it is cost-effective during short product runs, which is particularly important from the perspective of small production facilities.

Customers interested in commissioning wire bending work are encouraged to read the details of our range on offer and contact us. The registered office of SKRAWMET is based in Poland, in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. Our services are dedicated to customers throughout the country. We guarantee superior quality, short delivery times and affordable prices. We would also like to invite you to read about our other services. For instance, we carry out laser cutting and powder coating.

Innovative CNC wire bending methods

Wire bending requires precision, experience and modern technological facilities. At SKRAWMET, we carry out CNC wire bending, a valued method making it possible to yield effects impossible to achieve with traditional methods. Thanks to numerical control, it is possible to reproduce even the most complex shapes accurately, which is used both in industrial series production and in one-off projects where every detail matters.

CNC wire bending guarantees minimised material waste, which in turn equals lower production costs and greater environmental care. Whether you need sturdy components for machines, elegant display elements or unusual forms for artistic projects, wire bending by us is the way to go. We consider each order on a case-by-case basis, selecting bending parameters in accordance with technical requirements and expectations of our customers.

At Skrawmet, we combine state-of-the-art technology with 30+ years of experience, laying the foundation for the precise and efficient implementation of each project.

Thanks to modern machinery and specialised production processes at our disposal, we make both standard and complex metal structures. Our approach combines innovation and multiple years of experience, which enables us to achieve excellent results in every single detail.
